Amritsar: Going against even the expert advice, a progressive farmer of Amritsar district took a divergent path to reap profits. Unlike majority of farmers in Punjab, Surinder Singh Randhawa and his family in Manawala Kalan village decided to break away from the conventional wheat-paddy crop cycle to successfully cultivate rajmah (kidney beans) and sell it at attractive rates.
