JAIPUR: As world leaders deliberate ways to mitigate adverse effects of climate change at the United Nations Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris, villagers in the parched areas of western Rajasthan have already shown the way by adopting alternate farming practices. Not only have their yield per hectare of traditional crops like millets, guar, moong, moth ben and cow pea increased, they have moved onto climate ready cultivars like wheat and mustard.
